AHA & Enzyme Exfoliator

Aloe Vera

Packed full of minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, and vitamins A, C, and E, this juice will help to reinforce your skin’s barrier, by increasing moisture levels! Aloe Vera is also naturally antibacterial - to help combat surface congestion!

Glycolic acid

This is a natural fruit acid that comes from cane sugar. It has natural antibacterial properties to remove bacteria sitting on your face, it controls the oil flow within the skin as well as lightening stubborn discolouration that can be left on the skin once pimples have started to heal. This miracle fruit acid also gently exfoliates the surface of your skin, while also penetrating below the surface, speeding up the healing time within your skin; getting those lumps and bumps under the surface up and out of your skin for good.

Rice powder

This is what gives our exfoliant a granule texture - to allow this product to be used as a physical exfoliant, to help buff off surface dead skin cell build up. We chose rice powder as it is gentle when applied to the skins surface and will not cause surface redness, capillary damage or micro tears to the skins surface layer, when used as a physical exfoliant.

Malus Domestica

Stem cells derived from the ‘Uttwiler Spätlauber’ - which is a rare Swiss apple that has especially long-living tissue stem cells. These stem cells from an apple, helps to reverse signs of aging in fibroblasts (cells responsible for collagen production & wound healing), while also helping skin cells maintain the capacity to build new tissues - to help provide an anti-wrinkle effect on fine lines.

Manuka honey

Known for its deeply nourishing and healing properties for the skin, manuka honey will also help to keep pores clean and add external protection for your skin, preventing moisture loss due to environmental factors.

Trehalose

This is a natural sugar extract that is derived from dried mushrooms. This clever natural extract adds and retains that much needed moisture/water within the skin, keeping your skin plump and hydrated and able to start the healing process it needs to fight back.

Vaccinium Myrtillus (billberry) Fruit/Leaf Extract

Bilberry is one of the best sources of antioxidant compounds known as anthocyanins, polyphenolic chemicals that give bilberries their dark color! Not surprisingly, bilberries are similar to blueberries. When used within a skincare product, bilberry is known to strengthen the skin against signs of redness, while calming surface inflammation. Bilberry can also boost the skin’s environmental defenses in the presence of UVA light - preventing premature ageing within the skin.

Pumpkin fruit extract

Rich in fruit enzymes, this ingredient will help to accelerate the skins cell turnover, allowing old skin cells to be replaced by new skin cells, helping to maintain a healthy, youthful complexion.

Papaya fruit extract

Rich in enzymes called papain that are amazing at brightening the skins tone, gentle exfoliating surface dead skin cell build up, while also helping to stimulate cell turnover within the skin - helping to increase collagen and elastin production & reduce overall premature ageing within the skin. Papaya is also a rich source of vitamin C, vitamin A & vitamin E for optimal skin function and health.

Pineapple fruit extract

Pineapple extracts contain bromelain - a mix of enzymes, that help to gently exfoliate the skin surface - removing excess dead skin cell build up, to reveal a super soft skin texture and bright skin tone. Pineapple is rich in Vitamins C & E to help brighten and even out the skins tone, whilst being an antioxidant boost to the skin, helping to prevent pollution damage caused the day.

Sugar maple extract

Best known for being the primary source of maple syrup. This extract comes from the sap of the sugar maple and is known for its high concentration of active components, including amino peptides, calcium, and phosphorous, to help maintain optimal skin health. This natural extract also functions as a naturally derived alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help gently exfoliate the skins surface - clearing excess dead skin cell build up - to help brighten skin tone and soften skin texture, while also stimulating overall skin regeneration - assisting with collagen and elastin production! Sugar maples will also help to retain optimal moisture levels within the skin - ensuring your skin is plump and supple, while also providing an antioxidant boost to the skin - helping to neutralize free radicals, preventing premature ageing within the skin.

Turmeric root extract

For hundreds of years, people around the world have linked turmeric to healing properties and cosmetic benefits. The bright, yellow-orange spice is what gives our exfoliator its vibrant orange colour! Turmeric contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components to help maintain a healthy skin function and bright, youthful skin GLOW!

Orange, lemon and mandarin peel oil.

For drier/mature/vascular/acute acne skins:
Apply a thin layer (pea size amount), to a clean, damp, face & neck (and decolletage) and leave on for 2-10 minutes (depending on what your skin can comfortably handle), then rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with your products as normal.

For oily/congested/pigmented skins:
Apply a pea size amount to a clean, damp face & neck and lightly massage into the skin for 30-60 seconds, focusing on areas of concern, then rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with our Healer or Reverser treatment and/or Renewal Booster, Bright eyes & Soother treatment - to help soothe, rejuvenate and nourish the skin, post exfoliation.

*A tingling sensation when applied, is normal, this is a result of the glycolic acid and fruit enzymes dissolving dead skin cell buildup from your skins surface. This tingling should reduce more and more after initial application. If intense heat and ‘burning’ sensations begin on application and increase, please rinse with cold water immediately and follow with our Soother treatment to help calm the skin.

For drier/mature/vascular/acute acne skins:
We recommend using as a mask 1x weekly.

For oily/congested/pigmented skins:
We recommend using as an exfoliator, in the shower, 1-2x weekly.

-Skin dehydration can cause the glycolic acid ingredient that's within this product, to penetrate into the skins surface faster than normal. This can cause an intense tingling or burning sensation. Remember - skin hydration levels help to create your skins acid mantle & lipid barrier and this can be compromised due to seasonal or environmental changes. Always listen to your skin!

*When used 1-2x weekly, this product should last you between 4-6 months, depending on usage.
