A blend of natural oils derived from jojoba, macadamia and olive, designed to mimic the skins surface lipid profile to that of a 22-year-old. Our lipid barrier is responsible for the overall recovery and maintenance of our skins health. Think of it as an invisible wall on the surface of our skin, that protects our skin from water loss, environmental damage (such as pollution, sun, wind), and bacteria. As we age, our skins natural oil flow slows down; leading to a dryer skin and deterioration of our skins lipid barrier function. Reviving your skins barrier back to a healthy 22-year-old barrier function, will increase moisture and hydration within the skin – plumping and smoothing fine lines, reduce redness and sensitivity and increase skin elasticity and firmness.

Glycolic acid

This is a natural fruit acid that comes from cane sugar. It has natural antibacterial properties to remove bacteria sitting on your face, it controls the oil flow within the skin as well as lightening stubborn discolouration that can be left on the skin once pimples have started to heal. This is a plant extract that comes from the candela flower and is naturally antibacterial, providing a calming effect on the skin, helping to reduce skin inflammation and redness – giving your skin the chance to calm, clear and heal.

Joboba oil

I know – your thinking ‘OH NO, NOT OIL!’ Trust me - this oil is OK for acne prone and oily skins! Jojoba is a golden liquid wax (often called jojoba oil) that is made from the jojoba bean and naturally contains a balance of vitamins A, D and E which are known as skin healing vitamins. This oil closely resembles our own skins natural oil, allowing it to absorb deep within the skin, adding hydration to our skins deeper layers, while also having the ability to clear bacteria within the pores of the skin – helping clear and prevent future breakouts! This natural oil has a deep cleansing action which helps clear blocked pores, pushing out puss and dirt from within the pore, while removing dead skin cells on the surface and evening out any excessive oil within the skin. Remember – we never want to strip our natural oils within our skin, just control any excessive, thickened oil, to give our skin the chance to properly begin to heal without oil suffocation.

We recommend using 1-2x daily - and use as a spot-treatment - applying to the your area/s of concern, then spot treat with our reverser treatment to the other areas that are not acne-prone or congested, to maintain healthy skin cell function and skin tone.

Often when we are treating acne, the skins lipid barrier is impaired - meaning the skin is prone to sensitivity and reactiveness. If you feel tingling or burning, reduce use on that area for a good 1-2 weeks and replace our Hydration Booster - used all over the face, after cleaning, both morning and night; apply to a damp skin, then follow with our Soother treatment, on top, 1-2x daily, to ensure that your skins barrier is strengthened, then re introduce the Healer treatment into your routine.

Our Healer treatment has been designed to act as a serum and moisturiser in one, with key barrier-loving ingredients in it, to support your skins lipid barrier function; to maintain healthy oil flow, while also helping to clear surface congestion and acne. If you ever notice surface skin dryness and tightness after use, we recommend pulling back on the Healer treatment use. All skins are different and depending on your skins natural oil production and barrier health, will depend on how your skin tolerates the Healer treatment. Listen to your skin.
