Correct Skincare Routine Order | How to Layer Your Skincare Products

Posted by Amelia Goff on

What order should I apply my skincare products in?

Applying skincare in the correct order helps products absorb properly and ensures each ingredient can work effectively within the skin.

A general rule is to apply products from the lightest texture to the richest or most oil-based, finishing with products that help seal hydration into the skin such as oils or moisturisers.

What is the correct order to apply Fresh Face Skin products?

A typical skincare routine may look like this:

  1. Cleanser (of your choice)
  2. Barrier Mist
  3. Hydration Booster (apply while skin is still slightly damp)
  4. Treatment (Healer Treatment or Reverser Treatment)
  5. Targeted treatments if needed (NightShield Complex or Renewal Booster. If using both: apply Renewal Booster first, then NightShield Complex on top)
  6. Bright Eyes (eye cream)
  7. Soother Treatment (oil-based) to support the skin barrier
  8. SPF (morning routine only)

When should I use the AHA & Enzyme Exfoliator?

The AHA & Enzyme Exfoliator is used after cleansing and before applying the rest of your routine. It helps remove surface buildup, smooth skin texture, brighten tone and enhance product absorption.

It is typically used 1–2 times per week to support healthy skin renewal.

When should I use the Recovery Mask?

The Recovery Mask can be used between 1–7 times per week or whenever the skin feels irritated, inflamed or reactive.

Apply to clean skin after cleansing. Leave on for 30 minutes as a quick reset mask, or leave on overnight as a sleep mask to support the skin barrier, nourish dryness and calm inflammation.
